The ONE Group Hospitality is preparing to launch Samurai Steakhouse in Westwood, taking over the space previously occupied by STK Los Angeles at the W Hotel at 930 Hilgard Avenue.
The new restaurant concept promises an elegant presentation of Japanese cuisine paired with a unique take on the traditional steakhouse experience, according to a press release. While the opening is expected to take place in June 2025, a representative from the company was unable to provide What Now with an exact date. The new Samurai Steakhouse marks a continuation of The ONE Group’s culinary expansion in the greater Los Angeles area. The company recently relocated its longstanding STK Los Angeles restaurant to a larger venue in Westwood Village, now located at 1100 Glendon Ave. This move follows the debut of another STK location in Topanga.
“STK Los Angeles has long been a staple of the vibrant and chic culinary scene in the City of Angels, attracting celebrities, influencers, and visitors for nearly two decades,” Emanuel “Manny” Hilario, president and CEO of The ONE Group, said in a press release. “While we have loved calling the W Hotel home for the past 10 years, the new venue for STK Los Angeles enables us to accommodate even more guests eager to enjoy our rich ‘Vibe Dining’ experience and exhibits our commitment to expanding in the area.”
The new STK location features a high-energy design that includes the brand’s signature white horn wall, STK “RED” bull sculptures, floral installations, and vibrant neon signage. LED-lit ceiling ribbons and columns can be color-adjusted according to the time of day or the type of event. The dining area is furnished with white leather chairs, circular booths, and two private dining rooms, all illuminated by floor-to-ceiling windows.
Guests can continue to enjoy popular STK menu items such as lil’ BRG sliders, wagyu meatballs, short rib quesadillas, and a wide selection of premium steaks, including international wagyu cuts. The restaurant also offers an elevated takeout and delivery service and features a robust, award-winning wine list to complement its offerings. While STK Los Angeles has moved, The ONE Group will maintain its food and beverage partnership with the W Hotel. The company continues to operate The Hideout, the hotel’s outdoor patio and poolside dining venue.
Samurai Steakhouse, on the other hand, is already operating in Miami and is an interactive dining concept by The ONE Group featuring teppanyaki-style cooking performed tableside by skilled personal chefs. The menu features a variety of steak options, complemented by traditional Japanese cuisine. When the Westwood location opens, guests can expect the same tableside teppanyaki experience across multiple tables, accommodating both small and large groups. The restaurant will also offer a selection of sushi and Japanese-inspired cocktails.
