Yogurtland’s long standing Santa Monica outpost will be moving to the Third Street Promenade at the start of the summer, according to franchise owner Alex Soofer. The grand opening of the new location is tentatively scheduled for June 1, with a soft opening slated a few weeks prior to that date.

“We’ll have balloons, music, entertainment, giveaways and more at the grand opening,” shares Soofer. “We’ve been in Santa Monica for 10 years now and we love the city. We’re hoping the move to the Promenade will give us greater visibility and expose our shop to more clients that will enjoy our offerings.”

Yogurtland was founded in Fullerton in 2006 by owner Philip Chang and now has over 250 open locations worldwide. The self-serve frozen yogurt chain offers a variety of froyo flavors and toppings, allowing customers to mix-and-match and build their own cups.

Soofer will operate both the Santa Monica Blvd. and Third Street Promenade locations until the end of October, at which time the Santa Monica Blvd. outpost will officially close.
