Shake Shack, a national fast casual chain known for its delicious burgers and shakes, has been approved for Oxnard. The new 3,470 square foot drive-through will be situated near the corner of North Oxnard Boulevard in the new RiverPark development.

Oxnard’s planning and environmental services manager, Joe Pearson II, told the Ventura County Star that the restaurant is scheduled to start construction in the coming months and should be open by early 2025.

In addition to its classic ShackBurger, Shake Shack’s menu features a variety of burgers like the SmokeShack (that includes applewood smoked bacon) and the ‘ShroomBurger (featuring a vegetarian patty made with crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses), plus a number of fried chicken sandwiches and loaded crinkle cut fries. They also have limited time offerings, like the current Korean BBQ Burger topped with crispy sweet onions, fresh scallions and a savory Korean BBQ sauce.

Customers can wash their meals down with one of the Shack’s shakes, frozen custards, or lemonades and ice teas made in house with real cane sugar.

Shake Shack operates more than 500 locations worldwide.
