The fast-growing burger chain Shake Shack continues to expand throughout the country, this time coming to Rancho Cucamonga, located at 12505 N Mainstreet.
The company’s latest location will move into a space next to the shopping center’s food hall, according to the Daily Bulletin. On the other side, the restaurant will be joined by a new Silverlake Ramen currently under construction. Both new restaurants will likely open by the end of the year. This, according to Shake Shack’s website, will become the first location within San Bernardino County. The company, led by CEO Randy Garutti, has also yet to expand into Riverside County.
Despite the lack of expansion in those counties, the brand is alive and well within Los Angeles County and San Diego County. Overall, Shake Shack has more than 350 locations in 32 states and the District of Columbia, and 100 international locations. The fast-casual burger chain continues to grow throughout the country through its new drive-thru concepts. In 2015, Shake Shack’s goal was 450 domestic restaurants, but drive-thru restaurants weren’t in their blueprint. Now, the company has five in operation, and another five are expected to open by the end of the year.
“Ultimately, the thing we’re really after is increasing the potential addressable market for Shake Shack,” Garutti recently told QSR Magazine. “And we believe drive-thrus can give us a new look at the way we can think about sites, think about sales capture, and really our ability to capture as much share in a market of the burgers that are available to sell there.”
