Cliff’s Edge, the 16-year-old Silver Lake restaurant that never reopened after closing in March to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, will remain shuttered — permanently. Cliff’s Edge announced the news on its Instagram page late-Sunday.
“It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that Cliff’s Edge is closed for good,” according to the social media post. “We wanted to take this opportunity to thank all our guests that have been a part of this magical restaurant for the last 16(!) years. We are truly grateful.”
It’s unclear why the restaurant called it quits after a decade and a half of service, but the folks over at Eater LA, which were first to report the news, writes COVID is to blame. Reps for Cliff’s Edge did not immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday from What Now Los Angeles, but they did leave one final note for patrons — “please vote.”
“Of course, we could not have done it without the endless passion, dedication, and hard work from all our staff over the years. We thank you for that.”
