The Vineyards at Porter Ranch, a new Whole Foods Market-anchored mixed-use development with office, residential, and hospitality space, may soon be home to Silverlake Ramen. The Japanese eatery is in the midst of securing a space in the development, at 20065 Rinaldi Street.

Silverlake Ramen Operations Manager Devin Curry told What Now Los Angeles that the planned Porter Ranch restaurant is still in the “very early stages,” so the opening won’t be until early-2021

“Expanding, growing—that is our main focus right now,” Curry said, adding that there are also plans to open in Huntington Beach’s Bella Terra shopping center, though no hard date has not yet been set for that location. The LA-based eatery offers a simplistic menu of rice bowls and ramen.

Silverlake Ramen has been expanding across California and the U.S. with a recently-opened Atlanta outpost. A second location in North Carolina is planned to open within the next five to six weeks and by the end of the year, there are also plans to open in El Paso, Texas, and Seattle, Washington.

A source familiar with the pending leases said, “The lease in Porter Ranch is not 100% in place yet,” so the future of Silverlake Ramen coming is still up in the air.

Also coming soon to The Vineyards is an AMC Theatre, Finney’s Crafthouse, Lure Fish House, Trek Bicycle, and The Joint Chiropractic. Stores that are already open include a Whole Foods Market, Peet’s Coffee, Nordstrom Rack, Jersey Mike’s, Gus’s BBQ, HSBC Bank, Patxi’s Pizza, and The Vineyards Nail Spa, according to The Vineyards website. The entire leasable area in the project spans over 273,000 square feet with 1,589 parking stalls.

Whole Foods Market relocated to The Vineyards from just down the street, leaving behind a massive opening in the Porter Ranch Shopping Center, at 19340 Rinaldi St. The space won’t sit dark long, however. Parent company Amazon is planning to open one of its top-secret grocery stores in the organic grocer’s place.

This article has been updated with information from a source familiar with the lease, which is currently pending. A previous version of this article reported that Silverlake Ramen had already secured the lease.
