Smoke and Fire Social Eatery is owned by Isaias Hernandez, who opened up shop alongside partners Juan Hernandez and Josh Bentrem. The second location will be at 8009 Alondra Blvd in Paramount, a full build-out near The Habit Burger Grill and Chipotle.
Starting off their nearly 20-year long career, Isaias worked their way up from dishwasher at Red Robin in Cerrito to General Manager. Eventually, they made their way into the hospitality game, working for top dining institutions, from local eateries to billion-dollar restaurant groups. Similarly, Juan developed a passion for the world of hospitality, working as a shift manager while attending the University of California, Los Angeles. Bentrem worked alongside Isaias at Red Robin while earning a degree in journalism and marketing — they were able to open more than 15 restaurants across the country. This massive success afforded the partners the opportunity to open up their own eatery concept, Smoke and Fire Social Eatery, which serves burgers and specialty fries — they also offer catering services. A popular item, often displayed on Smoke and Fire Social Eatery’s Instagram, is the mac n’ cheese smash burger.
Currently, Smoke and Fire Social Eatery has a location opened up on 1327 W Whittier Blvd, a restaurant that’s been open since February. Smoke and Fire Social Eatery could open as soon as December 12, as per the lease.
