Tacos Gavilan (formerly Tacos El Gavilan) is opening another South Los Angeles outpost, this time in the Florence neighborhood, at 5833 S. Broadway.

The ground-up fast-casual taqueria will be situated one mile south of an existing outpost up the street, at 4380 S. Broadway.

Construction crews will begin building the new standalone Tacos Gavilan on April 15, 2020, with an opening roughly three to four months after ground breaks.

An estimated $1,422,420 will be spent building the new 4,700-square-foot restaurant on space currently home to asphalt, and across the street from the ever-popular and highly-rated Tacos Los Guichos.

With the addition of the new South LA outpost, Tacos Gavilan grows to 14 and counting in SoCal, serving tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, sopes, mulitas, and more.

An outpost is also planned for Norwalk, just south of LA, at 10986 Rosecrans Ave (rendering shown above.)

That location is also expected to debut in three to four months.
