A brand new restaurant/ lounge called Stanley’s Lounge is looking to make its debut in Westchester, located at 8741 S. La Tijera Blvd.
The new 2,501-square-foot eatery comes from Gussem and Ella Kazemi, who also owns the next-door cafe, The Coffee Company. Following recent approval from the Los Angeles Planning Department, the husband-and-wife duo is on track to open this lounge, which will include a 394-square-foot patio and occasional entertainment. Ownership says they hope this lounge will be a place for people to rest and relax as a quiet-type lounge, an environment not often found at the many bars in the area.
Local officials were persuaded to approve the business following excellent references from other local business owners. Now the Kazemis are hoping to open this lounge next to their existing coffee shop in the former home of Westchester Glass LLC. Like The Coffee Company, the only mom-and-pop coffee shop in the area, only competing with Starbucks, this new lounge will be a one-of-a-kind establishment. This will be one of the few businesses in the area that will occasionally have live entertainment.
Stanley’s Lounge proves the area, including the Westchester Village shopping center, continues to progress as a fast-growing go-to eating destination in Los Angeles. The area, which is next to LAX, is home to dozens of eateries, including Kevin Hart’s newest fast-food restaurant Hart House. The only other business that will be somewhat similar to the upcoming Stanley’s Lounge is the LAX Hookah Lounge.
