Starbucks will soon begin construction on a drive-thru-only location in the Palms neighborhood of Los Angeles on the border of Mar Vista.

The new coffee shop will be built from the ground up, at 3505 S Sepulveda Blvd, on what is currently a vacant-corner lot.

Starbucks’ future Palms home will cost an estimated $155,000 to construct, according to official documents for the project.

That figure includes building a covered outdoor area for the small take-away-only coffee shop.

The drive-thru-only format (an example is shown above) is one of several offered by Starbucks for its licensees: single-tenant drive-thru, end-cap drive-thru, exterior kiosk, interior Kiosk, and café.

An opening timeline has not yet been disclosed.
