David Tewasart’s Sticky Rice first found its footing in 2013 as a food stall at LA’s Grand Central Market. Later, the Thai-heavy haven expanded to Echo Park and Highland Park with the help of popular festival vendor Bryan Sharafkhah.
Now, Tewasart and Sharafkhah are gearing up to open their fourth Sticky Rice locale at 8044 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90048, according to a liquor license filed with The State of California. The space was formerly home to Uli’s Gelato.
Tewasart also recently opened Miya, a homestyle Thai-cooking concept named after his daughter and located in Altadena; the eatery is currently undergoing expansion to include a dining room, back patio, and sidewalk seating.
Additionally, Sharafkhah’s latest project is a Moroccan-inspired cafe and natural wine bar in Silverlake called Cafe Caravan.
What Now Los Angeles contacted Tewasart regarding the incoming project but did not hear back from the restaurateur.
