Super King Market, a Los Angeles–based supermarket brand celebrated for its international offerings, is preparing to open a new location in Los Angeles at 8723 N. Sepulveda Blvd.

The company’s newest location is set to occupy the former anchor space of a 99 Cents Only Store, according to documents submitted to the Los Angeles City Planning Department. While no official opening date has been confirmed, the site plan includes 156 dedicated parking spaces and retains other existing tenants in the one-story shopping center. Customers can expect Super King’s core offerings—fresh produce, specialty meats, and international foods, alongside on-site food options that elevate the grocery experience.

Since its founding in Anaheim in 1993, Super King Markets has expanded to include eight locations across the Greater Los Angeles area. The chain has built a reputation for offering a curated selection of international goods at affordable prices, with a strong emphasis on value and community engagement.

One distinguishing feature of Super King is its International Bakery department, which offers a variety of fresh-baked goods, including cookies, pastries, cakes, lavash, pita bread, tortillas, and chips, often sourced from local bakeries to ensure maximum freshness. Additionally, many stores feature a service deli, where staff prepare and slice meats, cheeses, caviar, olives, and custom deli platters to order. Several branches also offer ready-to-eat options, including sushi rolls and other prepared food counters, providing convenient meal solutions.

Customers frequently praise Super King for its fresh offerings and international variety. Shoppers highlight the market’s bakery and deli services, as well as its selection of produce, beef, and seafood, all at competitive prices.

With its new Mission Hills-area location, Super King is expected to deliver not just an international grocery experience, but also on-site bakery items, deli services, and fresh food options that cater to customers looking for both pantry staples and immediate meal solutions.
