Popular Japanese restaurant Sushi Nakazawa is opening a third permanent location in Beverly Hills, at 145 N. Robertson Blvd.

Chef Daisuke Nakazawa currently operates its namesake restaurant in Washington D.C. and New York City. The restaurant’s founder is now ready to open a permanent location after a month-long engagement at the Peninsula Beverly Hills. The company’s third location is expected to open sometime in Spring 2023, according to Eater LA. If the new Los Angeles location is anything like the previous locations, customers are to spend at least $180 for about 20 pieces of nigiri prepared by Nakazawa.

The popular Tokyo-style sushi restaurant first opened in New York’s West Village in 2013 before expanding to the Trump International Hotel in 2018, which is now known as the Waldorf Astoria. When this third location opens, customers can expect a variety of delicious sushi accompanied by seasoned rice. To complement all of the food, the restaurant also offers plenty of wines, beers, and sake. The new Nakazawa hopes to create a new sake program specific to Los Angeles.

This will be a perfect spot for the company’s latest location, situated perfectly between Beverly Hills and Beverly Grove. The new Sushi Nakazawa will have to only compete with Sushi Tama and Kopan Sushi & Ramen in the area. Another great reason why this area will be perfect for the company is the massive foot traffic, mainly coming from the other local retailers and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Until the restaurant opens, customers can try the delicious food at the Peninsula, which will end on Saturday, October 29.
