Tacos Don Cuco, the Tijuana-based taqueria in Los Angeles, is opening a new location in La Verne at 1965 Foothill Blvd. Ste. M & N.

The authentic-Mexican restaurant currently has locations in East Los Angeles at 752 S. Fetterly Avenue and Boyle Heights at 2850 E. Olympic Blvd. Now, Taco Don Cuco, owned by Jonathan Rios, has applied for a liquor license for a third location in the Emeral Center. The space has been home to many businesses, including Okami Ramen, Far East Gourmet, and Next Republic. A representative from the company tells What Now Los Angeles that the owners expect to open the new restaurant by the end of October 2022.

The food stand turned restaurant has made a name for itself through pop-up events throughout Los Angeles County. Most recently, Tacos Don Cuco has been found at Pomona’s 909 Night Market, The Munchies Block Party, LA’s first cannabis and food fair in Boyle Heights, and Tacofest 3 in Newport Beach. The company also has a location in Pomona at 1558 W. Mission, but the company’s Instagram doesn’t recognize the location. On top of that, the application for the new restaurant is listed as Tacos Don Cuco #3.

All locations are open for only six hours, starting at 5 pm. When the new La Verne location opens, customers can expect classic Tijuana tacos and other Mexican classics such as tortas, quesadillas, and various tacos. Tacos Don Cuco proudly serves its tacos with the freshest ingredients and globs of guacamole. The delicious tacos bring authentic flavors that taste like its straight from the south of the border.
