Telefèric Barcelona, an authentic Spanish tapas and paella dining destination, is opening a new location in Brentwood at 11930 San Vicente Blvd.

The company’s sixth location is set to move into the former home of Vincenti Restorante after 25 years, according to Toddrickallen. The beloved Italian restaurant has closed its doors after serving countless residents, old-school Hollywood A-listers, and industry executives. Now, Telefèric Barcelona will take its place, offering a “truly authentic Spanish Tapas concept and experience.” The company currently has two locations in Spain and three in Northern California in Palo Alto, Walnut Creek, and Los Gatos.

Telefèric Barcelona comes from a family-owned restaurant group operated by Spanish sibling duo Xavi and Maria Padrosa. The original restaurant in Sant Cugat was opened by their mother more than thirty years ago, according to the company’s website. At this restaurant, she became a trailblazer in the movement of ‘pintxos’ in the Catalonia region. Once in the Bay Area, the Padrosa sisters brought their mother’s recipes with them, including pintxos, which are small finger foods served at bars and taverns.

When this new restaurant makes its Los Angeles debut, customers can expect plenty of handheld snacks and smaller plates, perfect for sharing. Telefèric Barcelona offers plenty of tapas, such as crab croquettes, palatas bravas, empanadas, and more. The restaurant has three pintxos options: the tartar bun, bill-bao, and ma premier foie. Customers looking for a little more than a snack can order one of the many plates and authentic paellas, the latter needing at least 45 minutes to cook.
