The Blending Lab — a wine-blending experience by winemakers Magdalena Wojcik, Michael Keller, and Chris Payne — is taking a quick hiatus as the team moves from its 3rd Street tasting room to a fresh space at 5151 West Adams Boulevard, slated to open this fall.

Per the company’s website, the LA Lab’s “summer break” is a result of pending city permits for the army-green space sandwiched between Mexico Auto Parts and Craft Brothers Upholstery. This means in-person visits and classes wherein customers can create personalized wine blends will be on hold until the LA location reopens.

Fortunately, The Blending Lab partners will continue offering virtual classes and events while the West Adams location gets dialed in and they gear up to open a Paso Robles venue in June.

In addition to its nationally-available at-home wine kits inspired by the covid shutdowns, The Blending Lab makes its own wines right in the Los Angeles area from vineyards around California, with a specific emphasis on grapes from Paso Robles.

As for what inspired The Blending Lab’s move, Wojcik tells What Now Los Angeles, “We just felt we were outgrowing our current space and we love the West Adams neighborhood as well as the location we found. We are very hopeful the neighborhood is excited to have us when we are finished with the permitting process later this year.”
