The Kroft is expanding to a third location near Downtown Los Angeles, bringing reinvented comfort food to 629 N. Broadway.

The new restaurant will be in Chinatown, and construction is already underway, according to their Facebook. The Kroft has two other locations in Los Angeles, at The Hangar LBX in Long Beach and the Anaheim Packing District. The restaurant first opened its doors in 2014 under owners Stephen Le and Matthew Tong. There is no official opening date for the new restaurant.

“Encompassing a whirlwind of fast-casual gastropub fare paired with local production craft beers best describes who we are,” according to their website. “One trend we hope to ignite is the love of poutines, a dish consisting of crispy fries topped with cheese curds and gravy. This Canadian junk food staple is a specialty on our menu.”

The Kroft offers an extensive selection of homestyle comfort food. Some of their featured menu items include famous gourmet sandwiches, gravy-battered poutines, and a range of dipping sauces. The restaurant also hand selects draught beers to match each dish. The new restaurant is also expected to accept catering requests, like the original two.
