The Melt is planning a new location in Torrance. It will open at Del Amo Fashion Center near Lucille’s Smokehouse BBQ.
The fast-casual chain launched in the Bay Area in 2011. Since then, it has expanded to 11 Northern California locations, six Southern California locations and two spots in Arizona. What Now Los Angeles also previously reported on plans for locations in Long Beach and Hollywood Park.
The chain serves items such as crispy chicken sandwiches, cheese-focused MeltBurgers, melts such as the Three Cheese Classic and the patty melt, mac n cheese, and shakes.
The Melt is not the only Bay Area-based chain heading to Del Amo this year. Onigilly Japanese Kitchen is bringing a franchise location to Del Amo as part of a larger wave of expansion across the Southern California area.
