The Pan, a casual food chain with several locations in the South Bay area, is moving from its Bixby Knolls space over to the former Bebe’s Diner (which just announced it was closing last week). Co-owners Jasmine Lymon and Mercedes Raffulls plan to open within the next two to three months.

So, what’s on the menu? Lymon told What Now Los Angeles the new Long Beach location would serve breakfast all day, lunch and dinner, similar to its Artesia Boulevard spot in Gardena (their Torrance, Lomita and South Western Avenue outposts all only serve breakfast and lunch). She also teased that they might launch some new items and expand the dinner menu to have more variety. Bottomless mimosa lovers, fret not, Lymon confirmed that they are planning to have a liquor license in place before opening.

The Pan serves up Southern breakfast signatures like shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles. For lunch, they’ve got a variety of fries (carne asada, chili cheese, pastrami, sweet potato, yuca), salads, burgers, sandwiches, tacos, pizzas and more. And dinner entrees include crab cakes, buttermilk fried chicken, braised beef pot roast and chimichurri flat iron steak.

As for future expansion, “We’d love to open more locations and might potentially try franchising again, but nothing is concrete yet. We actually started franchising before COVID and then we had to put that on hold. Eventually, we want to go down that road again,” Lymon said.

Hours at the new location will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and weekends from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
