The Rooster Bakery and Cafe is relocating from its original location in Santa Monica to West Adams, located at 5135 W. Adams Blvd.

The cafe moves into the base level of a newly built apartment complex named after its address. Owner Bruce Marder hopes to open the new location in Summer 2022, according to their website. The restaurateur is behind some well-known Los Angeles businesses, such as Capo, Marvin, and Cora’s Coffee Shoppe, all of which are partnered with the all-day bakery. The original location at 2301 Santa Monica Blvd. opened in late 2018 and shut its door two years later.

The Rooster took pride in serving the finest bread and cakes in Santa Monica daily. Whether it’s a warm, newly baked baguette or a soft sweet muffin, the cafe has several options to go with your morning coffee. The restaurant will also have a variety of pastries and classic European bread, such as Moroccan olive loaf.

As for lunch, customers can expect fresh appetizers, soups, and salads, including a white truffle Ceasar with brioche croutons and a burrata tomato basil soup. Larger menu items include a handful of high-end sandwiches on either a baguette or brioche bun or a couple of pasta dishes. For larger groups, the restaurant offers blackboards with various cheese and meat selections.
