TRU Bowl Superfood Bar, a healthy restaurant that offers custom Açaí Bowls, juices, smoothies, and coffee, is planning to open three locations next year.

Franchise owner Nami Chung and her husband Doug recently purchased three territory licenses from the company’s area franchisor. They will start with a new location in Westlake Village at 30819 Thousand Oaks Boulevard, first reported by Conejo Valley Guide. The new franchise owners will open a location in the North Ranch Gateway shopping center next to Muzen Sushi. Chung tells What Now Los Angeles that he hopes they can open this location in Spring 2025.

The two franchise owners plan to open at least two more locations but are looking for good spots. Chungs tells What Now Los Angeles they are looking in the Conejo and San Fernando Valleys. These will be the northernmost locations in Los Angeles County, which already has seven locations. All locations feature a variety of acai and smoothie options. While most locations offer a handful of coffee options, this site will only have limited cold brew offerings due to Dunkin’ Donuts already being a tenant in the complex.

“At TRU Bowl, we’re passionate about the synergy of life and superfoods,” according to the company’s website. “Our TRU Bowls, handcrafted with nature’s finest, infuse vitality into your body and serenity into your mind. Each bite reveals a world of vibrant flavors and nourishing goodness, taking you on a journey to a more energetic, grounded, and fulfilling life. Embrace the power of nature with TRU Bowl – Pack A Bowl X Chill; it’s a celebration of well-being.”
