The Veggie Grill is moving its West Hollywood storefront across the street to Laurel Canyon, according to plans submitted to the City of Los Angeles.
The quick-service eatery, currently situated in the 8000 Sunset Strip shopping center, will replace The Counter, at 7917 Sunset Blvd.
Peter Moran, development manager at Veggie Grill, Inc., recently applied for a conditional use permit to sell beer and wine for on-site consumption out of the 2,732-square-foot restaurant space which had been occupied by The Counter burger joint.
It’s unclear when or why The Veggie Grill is moving the restaurant across Sunset Boulevard.
Reps for the chain on Wednesday did not immediately respond to a request for comment by What Now Los Angeles.
In its new location, The Veggie Grill will have seating for 66 inside and is proposing an 803-square-foot patio with 54 seats.
The proposed hours of operation would be from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Sundays through Fridays, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays.
