Venchi, an Italian food company founded in 1878 by Silviano Venchi, is preparing to open a new location in Los Angeles at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd.

The new storefront will be located on the ground floor of Westfield Century City, steps away from other chocolate shops, such as See’s Candies and Läderach, according to ToddRickAllen. Although Venchi already operates a counter inside Eataly upstairs, this new location marks the brand’s first dedicated boutique in the mall. The company, renowned for its extensive selection of sweets, boasts 250 chocolate recipes and 90 flavors of gelato. This location is expected to open soon.

Silviano Venchi started the company in a small shop in Turin after spending his savings on two bronze cauldrons to experiment with chocolate. One of his early hits, the Nougatine, caramelized hazelnuts coated in dark chocolate, helped establish Venchi’s reputation across Italy. The brand was eventually named purveyor to the royal household and became one of the most recognized chocolate companies in the region.

Today, Venchi operates more than 180 locations in 70 countries, including stores in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Dubai. Its boutiques often feature gelato counters, chocolate walls, and dramatic design touches, such as in-store chocolate waterfalls. Popular products include Chocoviar, Gianduiotto, Cremino, spreads, bars, and gourmet gift boxes.

Westfield Century City sees substantial international and local foot traffic year-round, making it a strategic location for Venchi’s continued expansion in Southern California. With its upscale atmosphere and mix of dining and retail, the mall is a natural fit for the brand’s high-end chocolate and gelato experience.

Venchi will join a handful of other businesses at this shopping center, including luxury retailers like Tiffany & Co., CHANEL, and BOSS, tech giants such as Apple and Tesla, and popular fashion brands like Zara, Aritzia, and Alo Yoga. Visitors can also enjoy AMC Theatres, Equinox, and the sprawling three-level Italian food emporium, Eataly.
