Soon-to-be its new flagship location, Vibe Organic Kitchen & Juice will be moving into Costa Mesa, at 263 E. 17th St.
Owner Josh Leibowitz felt Costa Mesa was a great area to expand to a third location. Vibe Organic Kitchens can already be found in Newport Beach, at 1000 Bristol St N, Newport Beach, and Dana Point, at 34255 CA-1 #105, Dana Point.
“Orange County is a great place and this space is double the size of anything we’ve done,” he said. At just over 2,500 square feet, the property came off the market this month, according to leasing data.
“We’ve been on the cusp of opening in San Diego or another LA spot and we really like Orange County,” he said. “The community is really developing and there’s a lot of good things happening.”
He admitted that he’s eyeing areas like Manhattan Beach for possible expansion which is a hot bed for new restaurants with the Manhattan Village expansion.
“We’re an all organic cafe,” he said. “Gluten-free, plant-based and we make everything from scratch.”
As the owner, founder and chef, Leibowitz prides himself in making vegetables more than just a side dish.
Started in April, 2017, in NewPort Beach, Leibowitz is coming up on his four year anniversary.
He hopes to open in Orange County by the end of the summer.
“We only just signed the lease and permits are going to take a few months,” he said. “It was a [Mother’s Organic Kitchen] before us and we want to make it recognizable. It will take us a couple of months.”
