A new all-day restaurant called Wilde’s is preparing to open at 1850 Hillhurst Avenue in Los Feliz.

The new concept will move into the former home of Thai on Hillhurst, according to a recent liquor license application. Owners Tatiana Ettensberger and Natasha Price have not yet shared an official opening date, but recently announced on social media that they are actively hiring for both front and back-of-house positions.

The idea for Wilde’s has been in the works for years, stemming from the duo’s childhood dreams of opening a restaurant together, according to the founders in a recent social media post. With backgrounds in food and hospitality, they aim to create a welcoming space that serves coffee and pastries in the morning, lunch in the afternoon, and intimate dinners in the evening.

“Natasha and I have been dreaming of this day for a really long time,” according to the post. “All the way back to when we were making our Polly Pockets open restaurants during our daily playdates. Nat always the “chef” and I always the “waitress” — not much has changed, aside from preferring not to be called a waitress anymore or whatever. Now, we’re building a proper neighborhood restaurant.”

They’re currently assembling a small and flexible team to help bring the concept to life. While a previous experience in the kitchen, wine, or coffee industry is preferred, they emphasize that a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are the most essential qualifications. No additional details have been released about the menu, but the restaurant is being positioned as a casual, community-focused spot offering all-day dining. Wilde’s will be the first brick-and-mortar concept for Ettensberger and Price.

This will be an excellent location for Wilde’s debut, considering Hillhurst Avenue is a busy, vibrant street right in the heart of Los Feliz, filled with local shops, coffee spots, and neighborhood favorites. It’s a popular area for both locals and visitors seeking unique, laid-back dining options. With spots like Griffith Park and the Vista Theatre nearby, Wilde’s is set up to be a go-to hangout for everything from quick weekday lunches to relaxed weekend dinners.
