A brand new theatre called Wisteria Theater is getting ready to make its debut in Los Angeles with a variety of food and drink options on-site at 7061 Vineland Ave.
This is the latest from Lexi Collins and Renee Wylder, the two founders of Wisteria Theatre, who met in 2014 while working on a superhero-themed show at a small, tucked-away theater in Hollywood. Since then, they have created high-quality character entertainment through various skits. Now, they’re ready to take things to the next level, with a 3,066 square-foot theater that will have a full line of alcoholic beverages, as well as some snacks and other concessions.
The owners tell What Now Los Angeles that while they don’t have an exact opening date for the new theatre, they hope to have a soft opening during the holiday season. They are currently in the process of applying for a type 90 liquor license, which would allow them to serve beer, wine, and selected specialty-themed cocktails. The theatre will also have a popcorn machine and concession-style snacks available for guests.
“Our theater is designed to transport audiences into an enchanted forest,” the owners tell What Now Los Angeles. “With “wisteria” as our theme, the space will feature twinkling lights, lush greenery, and magical vine-covered décor, creating a whimsical and immersive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. As for the shows, we plan to feature original parody productions, live play readings, comedy nights, cabaret performances, and full-production musicals. Additionally, we will offer acting and musical theater classes for kids. Our vision is to make the theater a creative hub where artists of all kinds can come together, collaborate, and showcase their talents.”
