Yard House, an American restaurant with more than 100 dishes made from scratch, is preparing to open a new location in Santa Clarita at 24201 Magic Mountain Pkwy.

The company’s newest location is set to move into the former home of Mimi’s Cafe within the River Oaks Shopping Center, according to a recent liquor license application. It’s unclear when this new Yard House will open, but it will likely be in the first half of 2025. When it opens, customers can expect a welcoming modern family restaurant with a great selection of appetizers, American and craft beers, wine by the glass, specialty cocktails, and more.

The new location comes after its former parent company, TSG Consumer Partners LLC, announced mid-year that it has agreed to sell Yard House USA Inc. to Darden Restaurants, Inc., according to a press release. The purchase price is $585 million, and the transaction is subject to certain closing conditions, including regulatory approval. Darden Restaurants’ portfolio includes Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, The Capital Grille, Bahama Breeze, Seasons 52, and Eddie V’s.

“Our successful partnership with TSG has been nothing short of extraordinary,” Yard House CEO Mr. Herrmann said in a press release. “TSG recognized our potential early on, and their dedication, support, and guidance to our team and our company have proven to be extremely valuable. We have been able to more than double in size while maintaining our high standards and our company culture. Our team is very grateful for TSG’s mentorship and entrepreneurial spirit, which allowed us to continue to shape and grow the fine company that Yard House is today.”
