Old Pasadena will soon be home to an Allbirds boutique, a rep for the fast-growth shoe brand confirmed with What Now Los Angeles Tuesday.

Joining a local outpost in Venice, the new Allbirds could debut within the next few months, at 61-75 W Colorado Blvd in the One Colorado development, they said. The company earlier this month started its search for a Store Leader to oversee the planned Pasadena location.

Allbirds’ retail footprint is relatively small with 21 locations in the United States (a bulk of which are in California), Europe, Asia, and New Zealand. But that’s about to change. Allbirds in September announced a $100 million Series E funding round. The capital will be used to “support the brand’s fast-growing international business and aid in the ongoing expansion of its fleet of brick-and-mortar stores,” among other things.

The Series E follows the successful launch of Tree Dashers, Allbirds’s first performance running shoe and its “best product” launch to-date.

“Business can be a force for positive change, and this additional capital will allow us to further our mission of bringing more sustainable products to people around the world,” Allbirds Co-CEO Joey Zwillinger said in a prepared statement at the time. “We have seen the power of collective action in response to the global pandemic and, as we continue to grow, we will push for a similar united response to another universal threat: climate change.”
