“Extreme-value” retailer Grocery Outlet Bargain Market is looking to open a store in the Winnetka neighborhood of Los Angeles.

It would replace the now-shuttered Fallas Discount Stores, at 19719 Sherman Way.

Pamela Burke, chief administrative officer and general counsel at Grocery Outlet, recently filed for a Conditional Use Beverage (CUB) permit to allow the sale of alcohol out of the 21,567-square-foot space.

The CUB application is on the Tuesday agenda for a Planning and Land Use Management Committee meeting with the Winnetka Neighborhood Council.

Grocery Outlet, which operates roughly 44 stores in the Los Angeles-area, would be open in Winnetka from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

An opening timeline is forthcoming, pending permitting and approvals through the City.
