Celebrity canine behaviorist Jas Leverette is expanding his famous dog training business, Cali K9, to North Hollywood, located at 5015 Lankershim Blvd.

This will become the San Jose-based company’s first location in Southern California. The world-renowned dog trainer hopes to open the new 1,785 square-foot space in early 2022, according to a press release from Kennedy Wilson Brokerage. The company uses reward-based training to reduce the number of dog bites and dogs sent to shelters/ abandonment. Cali K9 will join Hop Merchants Taproom and a to-be-announced veterinary office at the corner of Lankershim Blvd. and Morrison St.

Leverette started dog training full-time in 2010 and quickly became a favorite for the Best of Silicon Valley list since 2012. His success led him to start in Netflix’s Canine Intervention, which premiered at the beginning of this year. Leverette’s methods feature reward-driven, highly effective, easy-to-follow, and enjoyable training techniques, available online and in-person. Some of his well-known clientele include Stephen Curry, Marshawn Lynch, Michael B. Jordan, Jason Derulo, Kevin Hart, and many more.

“Jas’ successful approach to dog training has won him celebrity clients and a Netflix reality show, so establishing a new Cali K9 location in Los Angeles, where residents are obsessed with their pets, makes perfect sense,” said Kyle Fishburn, Kennedy Wilson Brokerage Senior Associate. “The highly visible NoHo Arts District location offers close proximity to entertainment and media companies, a source of potential celebrity and executive clientele.”
