Plans to demolish a now-shuttered Panorama City Firestone Complete Auto Care Center and build a 7-Eleven in its place are being finalized.

The existing structure would be torn down and a new 2,626-square-foot market and adjacent gas station would be built from the ground up, at 8760 Van Nuys Blvd, according to a proposal for the project.

7-Eleven is seeking several zoning exceptions necessary to open the new retail store including the ability to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Panorama City Neighborhood Council is expected to consider and take “possible action” on the “conditional use” requests after a presentation to the board Monday.
