The Williams Sonoma and Williams Sonoma Home combo store in Santa Monica, at 1600 Montana Avenue, has been listed for sublease through CBRE.

Although the retailer is still open for business, the 5,973-square-foot storefront (which includes a 4,518-square-foot ground-floor and 1,455-square-foot mezzanine) is available “now,” according to the listing.

Williams Sonoma’s lease is through February 2024 and a new lessee would have the option to extend through February 2029.

It’s unclear if Williams Sonoma would stay open until the kitchenwares and home furnishings tenant is able to secure a sublessee.

Reps for the chain’s corporate public relations team on Tuesday did not immediately respond to a request for comment by What Now Los Angeles.

“Rare opportunity in the heart of the charming Montana Avenue retail corridor,” according to the listing.

“This 5,973 SF space is currently built as a retail store & showroom and offers extensive street frontage in a prime location. Please do not disturb tenant.”
