John Kelly Chocolates is opening up its third location after its storefronts in Santa Monica at 1111 ½ Montana Ave and in Hollywood at 1508 N. Sierra Bonita Ave achieved such wide acclaim. The new address at 477-479 N Rodeo Dr is listed to open at the end of the month, taking over the Bluestone Lane coffee shop, which vacated during COVID. Brandon Cohan of CBRE was the listing agent for the property and provided What Now Los Angeles with onsite photos.
“John Kelly” is actually a partnership between two people, John Kelson and Kelly Green, who first opened up shop in Hollywood in 2004. “Armed with nothing but determination and a recipe for an amazing, gourmet chocolate fudge, we have since turned John Kelly Chocolates into an award-winning national brand sold in high-end department stores, specialty shops, hotel gift shops, grocers – and online,” the website states.
John Kelly Chocolates is known for its Truffle Fudge. “While ordinary fudge tends to be monotone in flavor, our truffle fudge pieces are available in seventeen richly complex flavors, each rivaling the finest gourmet dessert.” The Truffle Fudge apparently has a silkier texture than most fudges — similar to a truffle, but still technically fudge and it comes in 17 different flavors.
