The new flagship is located in The Grove outdoor mall, situated between Beverly Boulevard and West 3rd Street. Conceptualized by Zara’s architecture studio, the 25,800-square-foot West Los Angeles flagship blends Californian spirit with Spanish warmth. It features a large white façade, porches, wooden floors, and grey marble. Vintage-inspired furniture and art add character. A striking circular vestibule serves as the central hub around which the ground floor revolves.

The Los Angeles opening, plus a new Brea store a week prior, pushed Zara’s US count over 100. At FY2024 end, Zara had 98 stores in the continental US. Including Puerto Rico, the total was already over 100.
The US is Inditex’s second-largest market after Spain. Zara first entered the U.S. market in 1989 with a store on Lexington Avenue in New York City. The new flagship is a high-profile investment, signifying commitment despite regional uncertainties.
This initiative is part of Zara’s 2023-2025 U.S. strategy to open or renovate 30 stores. In near future, the brand has planned a South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa) store for Autumn 2025.

Zara reopened a fully transformed store at 360 Via Roma in downtown Turin on May 30. The design, also by Zara’s studio, features a warm, residential aesthetic with classic-inspired elements and modern steel/tile details.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Zara operated 1,759 global stores (including franchises) by end-2024. The Turin reopening, a 1,124 sqm boutique, exemplifies Zara’s continuous international development.
Enhancing Customer Experience Through Flagship Innovation
Both flagships incorporate advanced technology for convenience, including self-checkout counters, dedicated online return kiosks, real-time in-store stock checks via the Zara app and website, and automated package collection systems capable of handling up to 650 orders in Los Angeles.
Zara stated in a press release that the LA store “embodies Zara’s philosophy of offering a unique fashion experience integrated with the online platform.” The company trusts the LA flagship will strengthen its presence in Southern California. The design and tech aim to improve customer interaction and the journey.
Located among luxury retailers and featuring high-end design details, these flagships elevate Zara’s market positioning. Sustainability features, including energy management systems, LED lighting, cardboard recycling, and clothing donation containers, further align the brand with contemporary consumer values.
Zara’s LA flagship marks a key US milestone while Turin’s reopening underscores global ambitions. Both stores showcase design innovation and customer-focused technology. This expansion reinforces Zara’s position as a leading global fashion retailer.
