Memphis Board of Adjustment officials yesterday approved plans for a restaurant/bar to be located at 786 W Brookhaven Circle, occupying a 0.27-acre lot. Notably, this is the sole remaining undeveloped parcel on the Brookhaven Circle corridor.
The lot was previously home to beloved karaoke bar Windjammer Restaurant and Lounge, which closed its doors in 2017 and was subsequently demolished in 2018.
The proposed restaurant will feature 2,763 square feet of indoor space, along with an 885-square-foot partially-covered patio. Additionally, it will have a driveway curb cut and provide 10 parking spaces for patrons.
Property owner Daniel Syzmanek of Brookhaven Townhomes LLC was unavailable for immediate comment, so details such as the restaurant’s name, menu offerings, and ambiance remain undisclosed for now.
Before proceeding with the project, Brookhaven Townhomes will need to satisfy several conditions set by the board. These include requirements related to landscaping, parking lot lighting, loading facilities, and the aesthetic design of a dumpster enclosure, among others.
Stay tuned for further updates as this exciting project moves forward.
