It looks like a local restaurant and hookah lounge is expanding.

Flava House has recently filed permits to open at 6534 Quince Rd, within the Kirby Gate retail center in Southeast Memphis.

Founded in November 2019, the eatery is known for its Southern-style menu, featuring a mix of classic American and Cajun dishes like burgers, catfish, wings, pasta, and jerk chicken.

While a few locations have closed, Flava House currently operates two restaurants downtown and near the University of Memphis.

Owners James Smith and Jasmine Robinson have not yet responded to inquiries from What Now Memphis, so details about the expansion are limited for now.

UPDATE: This article has been updated to include additional details about the restaurant’s expansion.
