Stud Muffins, a food-prep catering company focused on providing healthy meals to athletes, is opening a new retail location and commercial kitchen in Cordova.

Co-owners Molly Beth and Trey Jolly started the company during the pandemic as a catering company and has since opened its first storefront near Silo Square in Southaven. Now, Stud Muffins is preparing to open its second location in Cordova in Fall 2023, according to the Daily Memphian. The storefront will offer grab-and-go options, as well as macro-friendly meals that can be ordered online and picked up in person. Owners hope to open as many as ten locations in the next few years.

While the duo started the company as a way to provide a healthy option to the community, Stud Muffin has seen great success in providing food to local football teams. The company has been contracted by the University of Memphis to feed four athletic teams, and a handful of other high school teams are reaching out for meals, such as the Hernando football team and the Desoto Central baseball team. All meals offered are low-carb meals, high-carb, and high-protein. The company changes its menu weekly and offers delivery in Desoto County.

“It was nothing but healthy food for five years, and at that point, it boiled down to the fact that we were either going to have to break up or find something we could eat together because every night, we went to the dinner table with two totally separate meals,” Beth tells the Daily Memphian. “We decided to figure it out and meet in the middle somewhere.”
