Miami’s Design District is about to get a healthful place to eat when Açai Express opens.
Sanguilly Enterprises LLC just file permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open an Acai Express at 3900 Biscayne Boulevard. No opening date has been announced.
Açai Express specializes in açai bowls that start with premium organic 100% grade “A” açai, and are then topped with fruits, coconut, granola, and more. The shop also offers pitaya, coconut, and mango bowls. The shop also sells fruit popsicles, smoothies, juices, lemonades, and detox shots. Guests hungry for more can choose from an assortment of toasts. Some locations even serve ice cream and cookies.
Founded in 2013 by Hector Westerband in Puerto Rico, Açai Express is best known for sourcing its açai berries straight from local farmers in the Amazon river basin, helping to conserve the Brazilian rainforest and its vast natural resources.
The brand has several locations in Puerto Rico, as well as in North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Florida. This is the first location in the City of Miami.
