There’s been a continuous buzz about All’Antico Vinaio, the world-famous Florence-born sandwich shop brand that has been building its presence out stateside. It started when word got out earlier this year that the Miami market was in for its first All’Antico Vinaio location, with a new sandwich shop in the works at 647 Lincoln Road in Miami Beach.

Then, on Friday, the Miami New Times reported that the brand has not one but two locations planned for South Florida: a second All’Antico Vinaio will open—this one in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood, at 87 SW Eighth St.

“Welcome to All’antico Vinaio, the legendary Florentine sandwich shop,” says All’Antico Vnaio’s website. “Since 1991, the Mazzanti family has been passionately running the three Florence locations of All’antico Vinaio and has been drawing crowds of both Italians and tourists alike due to the exceptional ingredients and freshly baked Tuscan schiacciata bread. Considered one of the best street food experiences in the world, and considered by Saveur magazine ‘home of the world’s best sandwiches,’ we welcome you to experience those very same ingredients and freshly baked bread at the first American outpost.”

Since that text was published on the website, thirteen additional locations have grown up alongside “the first American outpost,” with All’Antico Vinaio sandwiches shops now open in New York, California, and Tennessee. The restaurant’s menus have featured sandwiches like La Favolosa (Salame Toscana, pecorino cream, artichoke cream, spicy eggplant), L’Inferno (Porchetta, nduja cream, grilled vegetables, arugula), and La Paradiso (Mortadella, stracciatella, pistachio cream, pistachio).

That’s 14 locations so far, with two more planned for South Florida! Opening dates have not yet been revealed for the two sandwich shops.
