Founded in Buenos Aires in 2018, La Ferneteria Bar & Eatery has plans for a new location launching in Miami. Opening in a rooftop location at 222 NW 24th Street, La Ferneteria promises “a gastronomic journey through Italy from north to south.”
“In La Fernetería you can breathe the smell of wood, velvet and freshly baked food,” says the brand’s website. “A large visible counter is the perfect setting where the pasta is kneaded at the moment using the best raw materials from each country. The gastronomy is varied, subtle and relaxed, taking us back to ancient Italian traditions, resignified by the national culture.”
La Ferneteria’s menus have included pasta dishes like Rigatoni with slow-braised Bolognese and creamy ricotta and sweet potato gnocchi stuffed with goat cheese, crispy amaretti and parmesan. Mains have included Mushroom Risotto with mascarpone and truffle oil and Slow-Braised Veal with caramelized onions and mashed potatoes.
The brand’s name refers to fernet, a bitter Italian liqueur made from various herbs and spices combined with grape spirits.
Opening near the intersection with Northwest Second Avenue, La Ferneteria will join food and drink concepts like Coyo Taco, The Dirty Rabbit Wynwood, Gramps, and Asian food hall 1-800-Lucky.
