Mi Chini Cocktail Bar Opens on August 16
Opening August 16, Mi Chini is the latest venture from Chef Cesar Zapata and Aniece Meinhold, the team behind Phuc Yea. Tucked behind Phuc Yea at 7100 Biscayne Blvd, the hidden cocktail bar invites guests into an intimate escape.
Located in the heart of Miami’s MiMo District, Mi Chini pays homage to co-founder Aniece Meinhold’s Puerto Rican and Asian heritage. The nickname was given to her in 2005 by Julio Cabrera, a reputed bartender.
The bar will be open Thursday through Saturday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
A Thoughtfully Designed Hideaway from Phuc Yea
Set inside a mid-century space with soaring 14-foot ceilings, Mi Chini pairs retro aesthetics with lush elegance. A glowing 10-foot marble bar anchors the room, with seating for eight. High tops and tables add to the arrangement and serve almost 18 guests.
Elevating Mi Chini’s design, tropical features of the architecture include greenery and lacquered surfaces. Guests can expect a stylish fusion of Latin pop culture and Asian iconography. Low-lighting setup and neon signs are other highlights of the Phuc Yea lounge.
Menu at Mi Chini Cocktail Bar
Continuing Phuc Yea’s legacy, Mi Chini’s food and drink offerings have been carefully curated. Chef Cesar has prepared playful and craveable late-night offerings featuring flavors from Miami. The highlights are Colombian Empanadas with Aji Nước Chấm, Dirty Tots with Caviar, and PY Egg Noodles & Champagne Sauce.
The cocktail selection includes a mix of tropical, aromatic, and herbal elements with rare spirits and ingredients. Some offerings at Mi Chini are made out of lychee, pandan, and passion fruit. Each drink is crafted to match the lounge’s cinematic and moody ambiance.
Live Music Soundtrack by a Grammy Winner
The intimate space at the Phuc Yea lounge will be soundtracked by Miami’s songwriter and producer Gamal “LunchMoney” Lewis. The Grammy winner has worked alongside Nicki Minaj, Lil Durk, Ariana Grande, and Katy Perry.
From ‘Super Freaky Girl’ to ‘All My Life,’ LunchMoney Lewis has penned several chart-topping hits. This is what makes him an ideal artist to help elevate the soundscape of Mi Chini.
Mi Chini is poised to become a go-to destination for fans of Asian-Latin fusion and late-night vibes in a tucked-away setting.
