“Barrio Burrito Bar surpassed 1,500 franchisee commitments,” declared coverage by Restaurant Dive earlier this year. “With an additional 370 units signed across four territories, the Tex-Mex chain is on its way to becoming one of the fastest-growing brands on the East Coast.”
As the brand continues to grow, one of its next stops is in the South Florida market, where a new location is opening in Boca Raton. This week, What Now came across plan review documents showing a new Barrio Burrito Bar opening at 20449 State Road 7, Suite A6: part of the Mission Bay Plaza, a retail center that houses restaurants like Jon Smith Subs, Mister 01 Extraordinary Pizza, and Padrino’s Cuban Restaurant.
Barrio Burrito Bar serves up “Tex-Mex, Your Way!” with a build-your-own menu featuring burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas and more. Guests choose from proteins like Crunchy Chicken, Chorizo, Twisted Shrimp, Carnitas, Barbacoa, and more, topping them off with rice, beans, and other toppings—plus a selection of salsas and sauces like Ancho Chipotle, Bang Bang Sauce, and Jerk Sauce.
What Now confirmed news of the opening on Wednesday with Pranav Vankawala, one of the partners behind the location. Vankawala was not immediately available for a detail conversation about the opening, but What Now is awaiting more information.
“At Barrio Burrito Bar, we believe great Tex-Mex should be bold, fresh, and made just the way you like it,” says the brand’s website. “Whether you’re craving a burrito, bowl, quesadilla, or tacos, we’ve got the flavors to satisfy.”
