If you’re looking to spice up your morning routine or want a little afternoon pick me up, a new coffee and treat shop is headed to Boca — with a New Orleans twist.

Boca Cravings, LLC just filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a Beignets and Brew at the Polo Shoppes center, located at 5050 Champion Boulevard in Boca Raton. An opening date has not been announced.

Beignets and Brew specializes in New Orleans-style beignets made fresh to order. These fried dough squares, coated in powdered sugar, are traditionally served warm by the plateful. At Beignets and Brew, customers can order them by the dozen or in a smaller portion of four. There are also mini beignet “bites”, and buttercream, blueberry, and chocolate dipping sauces for those who like to dunk. Look out for special editions for Mardi Gras and other holidays. There’s also a more savory chicken and beignets — a play on chicken and waffles — and beignets drizzled with Nutella or rolled in cinnamon sugar.

Beignets and Brew also offers coffee drinks such as café au lait, cappuccino, cold brew along with specialty drinks like Nutella and salted caramel mocha lattes. In addition, there are smoothies, power fizzies, teas, and cold beverages.
