Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar is opening a Coral Springs location.

The restaurant recently filed permit applications witht he Florida department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a restaurant at 3347 N. University Drive at the Cornerstone development on the corner of Sample Road and North University Drive. No opening date has been announced.  Big Whiskey’s joins the already-open Tacocraft, along with the soon-to-open Mitch’s Downtown Bagel Café, Let’s Chill Homemade Ice Cream, and Paris Baguette.

Founded in 2006 by Paul Sundy, Michael Heslin, and Randy Gildehaus, Big Whiskey’s American Bar & Grill is designed to be an all-American tavern. There are nearly two dozen locations throughout Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Currently, the only other Big Whiskey’s location in Florida is located in Davie.

The restaurant is known for its classic American favorites such as ribs, steaks, and chicken wings. The restaurant also offers a dedicated gluten-free menu. Specialty items include a Buffalo chicken dip, country-style pork chops, and a club sandwich. As its name implies, the restaurant features an impressive selection of whiskeys, along with a large selection of specialty cocktails.
