Located at 2027 Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood, Billares Gato Negro Sportbar is a “casual bar offering a selection of beer, cocktails, and live entertainment.” Now, Gato Negro appears to be getting a sister concept just next door. Plan review paperwork was submitted by Bar Restaurant Billares El Perro Negro and Hookah Lounge LLC for a restaurant called Billares Perro Negro Bar Y Restaurant, planned for 2021 Hollywood Blvd.
Behind the rather long-named LLC that submitted the paperwork is owner Stephania Fajardo. What Now reached out to Fajardo on Tuesday to ask about plans for the opening of this new concept—the black dog to the original’s black cat. Fajardo was not immediately available.
Unlike cats and dogs, we would expect these two concepts to coexist rather nicely.
Opening in the Hollywood Boulevard location, this new bar and restaurant (and hookah bar??) would join a thriving restaurant community that includes Helen Hung’s, Tardes Caleñas Bar Restaurant, Areito Bar & Restaurant, Twisted Roots Kava Brewery, and lots more.
