Located on the third floor at 100 NE First Avenue, Biscayne Bay Brewing is Downtown Miami’s own locally owned, independent brewery. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost three years since What Now reported on the brewer’s plans to open in that First Avenue location, in the Old Post Office Building.
Biscayne Bay Brewing has just celebrated its two year anniversary on First Avenue with $2 beer specials, and now the company is preparing to launch a full brewery location, featuring a taproom and a biergarten space, right next to LoanDepot Park. It’ll open at 1588 NW Seventh St.
What Now reached out on Monday to Biscayne Bay Brewing CEO John Lennon to ask about plans for the beer brand’s new home.
“The plan is to have a full-production brewery, all our production for Florida, with a taproom,” Lennon said. “We’ll also have a tasting room, plus a biergarten area, which we plan to operate on game days and for other stadium events.”
Biscayne Bay’s brews include the Regatta Double IPA, the Tropical Bay IPA, and the Marlins Lager (it’s the official craft beer of the Miami Marlins).
“We’ll also be brewing some things just for the taproom,” Lennon said. “Right now we have a mango sour that is just outstanding.”
No opening date has been announced yet for the LoanDepot Park location.
