Founded in 1979 in the south of Brazil, Fogo de Chão is expanding both in the U.S. and internationally. The chain is preparing to take its Brazilian barbecue to another South Florida location, according to recent coverage in the South Florida Business Journal.
“We’re proud to have been a part of the Miami-Dade area for the past 15 years, and look forward to continuing to expand in South Florida and bring our latest innovative experiences and design elements to new guests and Fogo fans alike,” Fogo de Chão CEO Barry McGowan says in the Journal coverage.
The chain already has locations in Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, and Coral Gables, and the next location is set to open in Miami, at 8815 SW 72nd Place.
The Fogo de Chão menu is split into categories like Steak; Chicken, Lamb & Pork; Seafood; and more. Side dishes include Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Caramelized Bananas, and Polenta.
What Now reached out to Fogo de Chão Chief Development Officer Joseph Abbruzese on Thursday. Abbruzese was not available for comment on the new location.
