With locations spread across 14 countries, Bun:D is a concept born “from the growing anti-fast food sentiments and the backlash against unhealthy food in the world.” Founded in 2011, the chain has taken its selection of healthy bowls, breakfast, and smoothies & juices all over the world. Now, it’s preparing to make its Florida debut.
This week, What Now came across plan review paperwork submitted by NASA Food Inc. for a Bun:D location in Fort Lauderdale, at 6314 Powerline Road. The location is part of the Shoppes of Corporate Park retail center, which is home to a variety of restaurant concepts, included Chili’s Grill & Bar, Sun Rice Chinese Restaurant, and Le Vinois Bakery.
What Now confirmed news of the opening on Wednesday with Bun:D’s US Operations Manager, Tyler Baumgardner. Baumgardner was not immediately available to comment further on the opening, however.
“The service must be fast, and the food must be healthy and delicious at the same time!” says the brand’s website. “We have, therefore, developed a healthy food menu made with unprocessed ingredients and served with daily made sauces, fresh fruits and vegetables. Moreover, we have achieved to cut down on investment and operational costs, despite the expensive and fragile nature of fresh food.”
