INK Entertainment Group has already been in the news this year. What Now reported back in April on the hospitality company’s plans to expand its Lebanese restaurant concept Amal, which has locations in Toronto and Coconut Grove, to Fort Lauderdale this fall.

Now there’s more news, and it’s looking first-bitter-then-sweet: Byblos, INK Entertainment’s Miami Beach Mediterranean restaurant, has closed during the renovations under way at the Royal Palm Hotel.

“To our Byblos family — we will be temporarily closing our doors as the Royal Palm Hotel undergoes significant renovations that make continued operations challenging at this time,” says the restaurant’s website.

It’s not only the hotel that’s renovating, however. As Byblos comes up on its tenth birthday, it’s looking to make some upgrades of its own.

“This moment presents a unique opportunity for us to begin our own renovation and refresh the restaurant in anticipation of our 10-year anniversary,” the site says. “Byblos has enjoyed remarkable success in Miami, and we remain incredibly grateful for the continued support of our guests, team, and community.”

Details about the update are still under wraps, although the restaurant promises to share updates to its social media channels in the coming weeks.
