Vancouver-based restaurant chain Cactus Club Cafe has signed a lease for a 10,000-square-foot space at 201 S Biscayne Boulevard, in Citigroup Center, according to recent coverage by the South Florida Business Journal.
Cactus Club Cafe has 34 locations across Canada. It was founded in 1988 and is currently working on an expansion to the U.S., including in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood.
The considerable space includes outdoor patio seating, opening in the tower, which was formerly known as the Miami Center.
“Citigroup Center is the perfect location within downtown and Brickell to launch our Cactus flagship restaurant in Miami,” Andrew Latchford, president of Cactus Club Cafe, said in a Citigroup Center release quoted in the Journal coverage. “Whether lunch, happy hour, dinner or late night, this state-of-the-art Cactus location will be inviting and approachable to the wide variety of building tenants and area diners, offering something for everyone – no matter the occasion.”
What Now reached out to Latchford on Friday to inquire about the timeline for the opening. Latchford declined to comment on the matter.
